MP114
The evening courses are specifically designed to produce quick results in a limited amount of time. Ideal for anyone too busy to commit to a daytime class, this course is less demanding and more affordable than the daytime Music Production 101 but offers the same quality of hands-on training on the best equipment available.
Songwriters, musicians, creative people, anyone who has little or no experience of computers used in the context of recording and producing music. The aim of this course is not to make you in to a technology expert, but to give you the power to use this technology to create better music.
Compared to the Certificate Courses a lot of theory and background understanding of sound engineering is left out, and more time is spent helping you develop musical ideas in to a finished product.
There are no age restrictions and no previous experience is required.
Each lecture consists of three hours of mixed theory and practice using the school's computers and software.
Ideally students should also have access to a computer with Logic 8 or Logic Pro 8 installed to practice between lectures; in most cases it will be possible to obtain educational discounts for those interested in purchasing computers, software, studio equipment and musical instruments. If in doubt contact our staff to obtain impartial advice.
